By accessing or using PDF Converter (the "Service"), available at pdfconverter.bd, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). These Terms apply to all visitors, users, and others who access or use the Service, whether through our website, API, or any other means.

If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent and warrant that you have the authority to bind that organization to these Terms, and that organization agrees to be bound by these Terms. In such cases, "you" and "your" will refer to that organization.

If you do not agree to any part of these Terms, you must not use our Service. We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at any time without prior notice. PDF Converter provides a suite of online tools for working with PDF documents and other file formats. Our services include, but are not limited to: PDF merging, splitting, compression, conversion (to and from Word, Excel, PowerPoint, JPG, PNG, and other formats), rotation, page deletion, password protection, password removal, repair, redaction, and various other document processing capabilities.

The Service is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. While we strive to deliver accurate, high-quality results with every conversion and processing operation, we cannot guarantee that results will be perfect in all cases. PDF is a complex format, and the quality of conversion depends on many factors including the source document's complexity, embedded fonts, images, layout, and formatting. Some documents may produce results that differ slightly from the original in terms of formatting, positioning, or visual appearance.

We continuously work to improve our tools and may add, modify, or remove features at any time. We will endeavor to provide notice of significant changes, but reserve the right to make updates without prior notification when necessary for security, performance, or technical reasons.

When using PDF Converter, you agree to the following responsibilities and obligations:

• Legal Content Only: You will only upload and process documents that you have legal authority to use. You must own the content or have explicit permission from the content owner to process it through our Service.
• No Illegal Use: You will not use the Service for any purpose that is illegal, fraudulent, or harmful. This includes, but is not limited to, processing documents that contain child exploitation material, stolen intellectual property, or content that violates any applicable laws or regulations.
• No Abuse: You will not attempt to overload, crash, or exploit our infrastructure through excessive automated requests, denial-of-service attacks, or any other means intended to disrupt the Service for other users.
• No Circumvention: You will not attempt to bypass any access controls, rate limits, or security measures implemented in the Service.
• Accurate Account Information: If you create an account, you will provide accurate and complete information and keep it updated. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• Backup Your Files: You understand that our Service processes files in real-time and does not store copies. You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your original documents before processing them through our tools.

Violation of any of these responsibilities may result in immediate termination of your access to the Service, and in serious cases, we may report violations to appropriate legal authorities.

Your Content: You retain full ownership of all documents and files you upload to our Service. By uploading a file, you grant us a limited, temporary license solely to process the file as requested by you. This license terminates the moment processing is complete and the file is deleted from our systems — typically within seconds.

Our Content: The PDF Converter website, its design, logos, text content, code, and user interface are owned by us and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from our website content without our explicit written permission.

Open-Source Tools: Our document processing relies on open-source software (QPDF, LibreOffice, Poppler, and others), each subject to their respective open-source licenses. Our use of these tools does not transfer any rights to these tools to you, nor does it imply endorsement by the creators of those tools.

If you use the PDF Converter Developer API, the following additional terms apply:

• API Keys: Your API key is personal and confidential. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your API key. Do not share your API key publicly or embed it in client-side code.
• Rate Limits: API usage is subject to rate limits based on your plan. Exceeding these limits may result in temporary throttling or suspension of your API access.
• Fair Use: API access is provided for legitimate document processing purposes. Using the API for benchmarking, load testing, or competitive analysis without prior written consent is prohibited.
• SLA: While we strive for high availability, we do not guarantee any specific uptime percentage for the API. We will make reasonable efforts to provide advance notice of scheduled maintenance.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, PDF Converter and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the Service. This includes, but is not limited to, loss of data, loss of profits, loss of business opportunities, or any damages resulting from errors, inaccuracies, or omissions in processed documents.

You acknowledge that PDF conversion and document processing are inherently complex operations, and that results may not be perfect in every case. You agree to verify the accuracy and completeness of all processed documents before relying on them for any critical purpose, including legal, financial, medical, or regulatory matters.

Our total liability to you for any claims arising from your use of the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid us for the Service in the twelve months preceding the claim, or $50 USD, whichever is greater.

We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice, for any reason, including but not limited to a breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease. If you have an account, we may delete your account data in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

You may stop using the Service at any time. If you have an account, you may request deletion of your account by contacting us at [email protected].

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Bangladesh.

Before initiating any formal legal proceedings, you agree to first contact us at [email protected] to attempt to resolve the dispute informally. We will make a good-faith effort to resolve any disputes within 30 days of receiving your written concern.
